1940's mini Clockwork Tin Boat - Restoration
Here is a new video !!
This is a Vintage mini tin boat toy from 1940/1950 . I don't know what company made it.
It was in very bad shape, pretty much rusted. A few parts fell apart during the disassembling I had to make new ones :) The spring of the clockwork mechanism had to be shortened, so the boat is faster, but the engine doesn't last as long as it should.

Careful with those old wicks! Wouldn’t be remotely surprised if those were/are asbestos.
Something like this would be a great project for a kid who wants to learn about engines.
